First Responders
At First Responders Pharmacy we are dedicated to the men and women who protect and serve our communities. First Responders are used to being the rescuers, not the ones who need help. We want to make a difference in the lives of First Responders. We have experience and knowledge surrounding the laws on the heart/lung statute, post traumatic stress disorders and the medical coverage on cancer. At FRP, we respond with empathy and compassion to those First Responders in need of prescription medication. Heart/Lung Patients
The Heart/Lung Statute creates a presumption that hypertension, heart disease and tuberculosis are work related as a matter of law when suffered by firefighters and law enforcement and corrections officers meeting certain prerequisites, regardless of the actual cause of the condition and whether the condition occurred on or off duty. Our patient advocates are experienced in helping patients with heart/lung cases. Our pharmacist is knowledgeable about the medications prescribed to patients with heart conditions. We are familiar with the doctors and staff who treat heart/lung patients and will maintain contact with you and your doctor’s office in order to expedite your medications to your place of residence.
PTSD and Mental and Nervous Injuries
Workers compensation law expanded coverage for First Responders suffering traumatic mental and nervous injuries, including PTSD, while on the job. First Responders receiving medical treatment for their mental and nervous injuries by medical providers receive prescription medications for their condition. At FRP we treat our patients with compassion and understanding and will provide all information about medications prescribed by your medical provider. We assure you that we will maintain contact with your medical provider and deliver medication directly to you.
Cancer Patients
Recently passed legislation provides firefighters with medical coverage with certain types of cancers. FRP stands ready to assist firefighters in combating this horrible disease. Our pharmacist and patient advocates are here to help navigate the red tape associated with a diagnosis and treatment and will provide prescriptions necessary to combat all work related cancer. We will work with your medical provider, lawyer, and insurance carrier to ensure proper medical treatment and delivery of your prescription medications in a timely manner.

Hoods For Heroes
First Responders Pharmacy has entered into a community partnership with Hoods for Heroes. This partnership will allow Hoods for Heroes to continue its mission of providing lifesaving chemical blocking hoods to Firefighters. Hoods for Heroes is a nationally registered 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping reduce the epidemic of cancer in fire service.
